Reference Architecture
This reference architecture shows how to continuously capture ecommerce and in-store purchase data, combine and process it for a real-time view of inventory, and share enriched data with downstream microservices and systems.
Leverage fully managed source connectors for databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server with change data capture capabilities) to stream data from multiple sources that affect inventory.
Stream processing can be used to enrich the real-time stream of customer transactions in order to provide quantities available by SKU at each store location.
This enriched stream is then consumable by services such as available to commerce inventory quantities, replenishment systems, allocation systems, as well as merchandising applications. This architecture can leverage any of over 120 pre-built connectors available in the Confluent connector hub.
