Nick Dearden is a technology and product leader at Confluent, where he enjoys leveraging many years of experience in the world of data and analytic systems to help design and explain the power of a streaming platform for every business. Prior to Confluent, he led the data platform group for a leading online real-estate seller and was chief architect for a cloud-based financial analytics platform. His early career stretches all the way back through multiple data warehouse and business intelligence adventures to the green-screen days of mainframe banking systems.

David PetersonPrincipal Solutions Engineer

David is a Principal Solutions Engineer with Confluent. He works across the APAC region with wide range of industries. Specifically David works in areas such as: designing resilient Kappa Architectures, consulting on distributed system best practices and on the growing influence of Large Language Models and there role in creating knowledge-driven systems.

David lives on the Sunshine Coast in Australia and has four kids. In what little spare time he has he enjoys swimming at the beach, free diving , painting, drawing, and losing at Mario Kart (nearly) every time with his kids.
