The London Kafka Summit 2018 Call for Papers is Open!

작성자:

After three successful Kafka Summits in the United States in 2016 and 2017, we decided the Kafka community was ready to have a Summit in London. And based on the overwhelming demand we see in the European market, we are quite sure London is ready for us! Our first-ever Kafka Summit London will be on April 23-24 of 2018.

Registration for Kafka Summit London will open soon, but in the meantime, we are looking for presenters!

The call for papers for this event is now open, and will remain open until December 1st. We invite you to share proposals for how you’ve used Kafka for real-time data integration, stream processing, or just digging deeply into the technology itself.

There are only 30 sessions at the London Summit, so do your best to stand out by submitting relevant, engaging, creative, and entertaining proposals. We’re looking for fresh ideas, unique perspectives, and thought-provoking discussions that will give our attendees a good time and send them home better-informed and more capable than they came.

We have tracks for Streams, Pipelines, and Internals. Make sure your talk more or less fits into one of these categories:

Streams
Talks in the Streams Track are about real-time messaging, analytics, and stream processing. Whether you are using KSQL for intrusion detection, deploying Kafka Streams-powered microservices using Kubernetes, or have great tips on how to tune the integration of Kafka and your favorite stream processing framework, this track is for you.

Pipelines
Talks in the Pipelines Track are about real-time data integration and ETL pipelines, using Kafka to connect disparate systems at low latency. If you are a data engineer who figured out how to get data from a mainframe to Kafka, join it with events from few microservices, and write the results to Elastic where your analytics team uses it to improve customer service, then your story belongs here.

Internals
Talks in the Internals Track are deep dives into Kafka internals, performance tuning, and detailed treatments of system architectures. If you just spent 36 hours chasing a strange performance degradation and have the flame-graphs to show for it, have the world’s largest Kafka cluster and can tell us how we can have one too, figured out how we are all monitoring Kafka wrong, or are using esoteric operating system features to improve Kafka performance, we want to hear your story in this track.

And who will be choosing the final 30 talks? That’s our Kafka Summit Program Committee, who have all volunteered to help make this the best Kafka Community event the world has yet seen. A big thank-you to these folks:
