Confluent has achieved FedRAMP Ready status for Confluent Cloud for Government, and Confluent is now listed on the FedRAMP Marketplace as a FedRAMP Ready vendor.
FedRAMP is a U.S. government program that provides a standardized approach to security assessment and authorization, as well as continuous monitoring for cloud products and services. The "Ready” designation is an important step towards a full FedRAMP authorization, indicating that a Third Party Assessment Organization (3PAO) has attested to Confluent’s security capabilities, and that a Readiness Assessment Report (RAR) has been deemed acceptable by the FedRAMP PMO.
Confluent Cloud for Government joins Confluent Platform, which is already in use across governments. The arrival of Confluent Cloud brings the cloud’s advantages to Confluent’s federal offerings, including reliability and scalability, along with fully managed service and zero maintenance.
Confluent enables governments to treat data as a continually updating stream of events, rather than static snapshots. This speeds time to action and creates more personalized experiences for citizens and government users. As an enterprise-ready platform, Confluent also includes critical capabilities around security, operations, data governance, and distributed operations.
