Ivan Ernest joins as Chief People Officer and Simon Hayes joins as Vice President of Corporate and Business Development
PALO ALTO, Calif. – July 18, 2017 – Confluent, provider of the leading streaming platform based on Apache Kafka®, today announced that Ivan Ernest has joined the executive team as chief people officer and Simon Hayes has joined as vice president of corporate and business development. The appointment of these executives reflects the company’s focus on building a world class organization with an excellent bench of technology leadership.
The expansion of the executive team will enable Confluent to scale operations and drive new revenue streams after a record year in 2016, including over 700 percent ACV (annual contract value) subscription bookings growth year over year, nearly tripling the number of employees, opening an EMEA headquarters in London and adding many new customers including Priceline.com, Surescripts, TiVo and Zopa.
