Data streaming unlocked

I'm New to Kafka

Learning Apache Kafka® is essential if you want to build scalable, real-time data pipelines and stream processing applications.

As the demand for data-driven decision-making grows, Kafka's ability to handle high-throughput, fault-tolerant messaging makes it a valuable tool for integrating and processing large volumes of data across systems—which makes mastering its fundamentals an even more valuable skill to add to your toolbox.

Take the first step toward contributing to the real-time and event-driven solutions today's businesses need.

Apache Kafka - the de facto standard for data streaming

I'm Considering Confluent

Kafka is complicated—which means self-managing open source Kafka or a hosted service comes with significant costs and risk.

That’s why many organizations opt for a managed service, but the tradeoffs can make this a complicated decision. You need a service that reduces your operational overhead, delivers cloud-native scalability and reliability, while giving you all the tools you need to enable Kafka adoption internally.

Confluent does just that, while also easing the migration of your existing deployment with the support of our Professional Services team and our partners.

And with multiple deployment options, Confluent’s data streaming platform unlocks the full potential of your data, no matter where it lives. Try Confluent Cloud and see for yourself.

Unlocking New Use Cases—and More Business Value—Faster

Confluent and our extensive partner ecosystem are here to help you achieve your goals with data streaming. However your teams and business leverage Apache Kafka today®—not at all, with a single managed service, or with heterogenous deployments across different teams, our educational resources and data streaming experts are here to guide you.

I'm Ready for the Next Level

While Kafka is a powerful tool for streamlining data flows, it’s not enough on its own to address the complex data integration challenges many businesses face.

Real-time analytics, personalized experiences, and automated decision-making. To unlock these use cases, organizations need to untangle a web of point-to-point integrations across various systems, applications, and databases that lead to data silos and inefficiency.

Confluent’s complete data streaming platform delivers the integration, governance, and processing capabilities you need to solve this data mess and start building highly trustworthy, reusable, and discoverable data products.

Data Streaming & the Future of the Data-Driven Organization

Confluent’s mission is to help you solve your most complex data challenges—including untangling the data mess that reaches across the organization.

Both technical practitioners and executives need to be aligned and enabled on using data streaming to build an organization that is more data-driven, innovative, and competitive than ever.

As your data streaming adoption scales and matures, your teams will unlock more responsive customer service, more reliable security & operations, and new AI capabilities. Here’s what that journey looks like for our customers:

Level 1:
Early Adoption

At this stage, individual project teams begin learning and experimenting with Kafka for specific use cases. Adoption is typically tech-led and driven from the bottom-up, with a focus on solving immediate technical challenges.

Level 2:
Initial Deployment

Teams start deploying Kafka for mission-critical use cases within individual lines of business (LOBs). The focus is on proving the value of the technology and establishing operational processes.

Level 3:
Expansion

Multiple teams across different LOBs begin using Kafka, leading to a more coordinated approach. However, adoption remains somewhat siloed, and there is a need for greater business awareness and budget allocation.

Level 4:
Enterprise Coordination

Disparate teams using Kafka start to combine forces, often implementing a Kafka-as-a-Service offering or a Center of Excellence. This stage requires senior-level sponsorship, a solid business case, and a budget to support enterprise-wide adoption.

Level 5:
Central Nervous System

Kafka becomes a central part of the organization's data infrastructure, managing critical data across multiple LOBs. The focus is on creating an enterprise-wide shared services platform, ensuring data governance, security, and business continuity.
