Introducing Current 2022: The Next Generation of Kafka Summit

Verfasst von

Data streaming is a new category of technology that is reshaping the way businesses operate, but there hasn’t been a place for everyone in the ecosystem to come together and share their knowledge and best practices. There are conferences for many of the technologies involved, including Kafka Summit, but no one place to get the entire picture.

With that in mind, I’m pleased to announce that Current 2022: The Next Generation of Kafka Summit will be held October 4—5, 2022 at the Austin Convention Center. We intend Current to be the conference for the emerging data streaming ecosystem, a place for developers, architects, and technical executives to come together to engage with their peers. Kafka Summit itself will continue to thrive and grow at the heart of this new event. Current simply lifts it to a new level.

So, what can you expect from this new event? Of course, it will have all the great Apache Kafka®-related content you would expect, but with Current’s broader remit, including technologies, practices, and experiences from across the data in motion sector. If you’re building systems using data in motion, in whatever technology stack, Current is where you can share your experiences.

The Call for Papers (CfP) is open now, the event has a growing list of sponsors, including AWS, Databricks, Google, MongoDB, and Slower. If you’d like to find out more about the intricacies, read the Current FAQ.

I look forward to seeing you all in Austin!
